| Homecoming Dance Information New|
The Homecoming Dance is on Saturday from 8-11:30 pm. Tickets are $12.00 for single and $24.00 for couple and are on sale during all 3 lunches in the cafeteria and before and after school in the Athletic Office until 3:30 on Friday. There will be no tickets sold at the dance. There will be no exceptions. The dance permission slip is located on the Waukesha South Homepage. It will be your responsibility to print this form out and have it when you are purchasing tickets. You will not be able to purchase a ticket without it. The Guest Dance forms are due by Wednesday, October 1st at 3:00pm to the administration office to be approved, NO EXCEPTIONS. All guests will need their Guest Dance form to purchase tickets. | National Dwarfism Awareness Month New|
October has been declared National Dwarfism Awareness Month by Little People of America. Little People of America (LPA) is a national support organization for people with dwarfism and their families. LPA provides peer, parent and medical support for the dwarfism community. In declaring Dwarfism Awareness Month, LPA hopes to raise positive awareness around dwarfism, address common misconceptions, and increase opportunities for people with dwarfism around the country. To show your support, please wear green on Friday, October 24th. Thank You.

Interested in journaling or creating a sketchbook of your own? Do you have an art class and need some tips on getting started with your visual journal? The Homecoming Chili Feed is hosted by Waukesha South Football on Friday, Oct 3 from 5 pm – 6:30 pm at South’s Cafeteria. Prices are Chili or Baked Potato Meal for $5.00 and Hot Dog Kids Meal for $2.00. Share a Chili Meal before the Big Game! Spirit wear will be available during the chili dinner in the cafeteria also from 5:00-6:30pm.

Your Marching Blackshirts of Waukesha South performed in exhibition at our Marchfest and competed in the Waukesha West Fox River Invitational over the weekend. In competition the Marching Blackshirts took first place with an outstanding performance! Congratulations on your hard work! See you at State on October, 18th at UW-Whitewater.

| MRMC disaster drill |
The Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Grounds will be conducting a combined disaster drill on Saturday, October 18th and are looking for students to act as victims in an effort to help hospital staff, police and fire rescue personnel practice an mass casualty drill. If you are interested in portraying a victim you can earn volunteer hours for doing so. The event is from 8-noon in Milwaukee near Froedtert Hospital. If you want to participate, please see Ms. Marrazzo for a permission slip. Thank you!

Fun fact: according to a recent study by Cornell university, bilinguality and involvement in language classes boosts one’s chance of becoming hired in any career field by nearly sixty percent! If you’re already involved in language classes, interested in culture, looking for an easy way to get involved, or interested in traveling abroad, join International Club! This extracurricular activity meets Wednesdays in room (224) with Sr. O’Connell. Stop by for some jarritos, multicultural conversation, and an all around good time! You do not have to be involved in a language class or speak another language to participate.

Starting Thursday, September 25th, students will not be able to get into home athletic events for free without their ID. Please remember that you need your ID to get into games for free. It will cost $3.00 if you do not have your ID.
