Daniel M.Finley

During high school, Dan was involved in National Honor Society, Badger Boys State, President of Student Council, and two year letter winner in gymnastics. Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1980. His majors were economics and urban geography. Dan served on the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors from 1984 to 1991. He was the chairman for the Waukesha County Board of Supervisors from 1888 to 1991. Dan was elected by the people of Waukesha County to serve as their first County Executive from 1991 to 2005. This position serves as the CEO of county government with 1300 employees and an annual budget of 250 million dollars. Dan was able to drop the tax rate in Waukesha County for 14 consecutive years. He was named president and chief executive officer of the Milwaukee Public Museum in August of 2005. Dan is the senior executive responsible for all daily operations, financial planning, and fundraising and strategic planning. He works with over 150 staff members and has a 13 million dollar budget. Dan was named the UW-Madison Alumnus of the Year for Waukesha County in 2004 and Volunteer of the Year for the Addiction Resource Council in 2002. He serves on the Board of Directors for Mental Health Association in Waukesha County, United Way in Waukesha County, and Potawatomi Area Council for the Boys Scouts of America. Mr. Finley currently resides in Okauchee with his wife Jenifer. They have three children Chad, Katie, and David.
