Dr. David Morris pioneered the use of the oral (sublingual) application of antigen drops to treat allergies. This treatment gives allergy and asthma sufferers an alternative to injections. Following graduation from UW-Medical School and a two year stint in the Air Force, Dr. Morris pursued allergy work in a family-practice setting and decided to specialize in 1970. Dr. Morris became the nation’s first family physician to earn board-certification in allergy and immunology. He shares his successful allergy practice, the La Crosse-based Allergy Associates, with his daughter Mary. Dr. Morris and his wife Sacia honored the UW Medical School with a gift that will be used to create the Morris Institute for Respiratory Research.
