G. Edwin Howe

Following high school, Edwin obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting in 1962 from the University of Wisconsin. In 1964, he earned his Masters in Business Administration with a major in Hospital Administration. Mr. Howe became President of St. Lukes Medical Center in Milwaukee in 1974. He initiated the Aurora Health Care system in 1984. As President of St. Lukes, he accomplished the first major affiliation between competing hospitals in southeastern Wisconsin. Through Eds vision and leadership, Aurora has become Wisconsins leading health care system and one of its largest private employers. Locally and nationally, the organization has been at the leading edge of health care reform and innovation Eds accomplishments have earned him many accolades. He is a nationally known health care executive and was ranked in a survey by Modern Healthcare as the 23rd most influential person in healthcare nationwide. Eds family consists of his wife Suzanne a native of Madison and two kids, Bonnie Howe an attorney in Denver, Colorado; and Scott Howe who lives with his wife Cathy and three grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle, and Campbell in Seattle Washington.
