Col Harold Mueller

Class Of: 1947
Inducted In: 2002

Col. Mueller served 31 years in the United States Army. He was involved in combat in Korea and Vietnam. He was wounded numerous times and awarded three Purple Hearts. Col. Mueller received the Distinguished Service Cross and Silver Star for heroism and gallantry in Korea. Col. Muellers Korean War experiences included leading an infantry company against the Chinese in the Battle of the Twin Tunnels, an encounter that marked the first time a U.N. force repelled a full Chinese divisional unit during the Korean War. During his career, Col. Mueller served the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon for seven years and served his country from all over the world. In 1979, Col. Mueller was inducted into the Infantry Hall of Fame in Fort Benning, GA.
