John Anderson

As a Blackshirt, John Anderson excelled in the classroom as well as in athletics. He led the Blackshirts to three conference championships in both football and basketball. Anderson and his teammates made state tournament appearances in basketball two seasons and in tennis one season. Anderson attended the University of Michigan and played football for the Wolverines. The Wolverines won or shared three Big Ten championships and played in two Rose Bowls and in the Orange Bowl during Andersons playing career. Anderson was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1978. He played twelve years in the National Football League and was eventually inducted into the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame. Following his retirement from the N.F.L. in 1989, Anderson served as a sportscaster for a Milwaukee television station for six years before joining the staff at Brookfield Academy as a science teacher and athletic director
