Ken Heine

Inducted In: 2011



During high school, Ken was a 3 sport athlete at Muskego High School. He earned 8 varsity letters in football, wrestling, and track.

Ken earned a teaching degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1970. He was a teacher and coach for 35 years. Ken started teaching physical education at Waukesha South in 1974. He also coached football for 10 years. Ken retired from the Waukesha School District in 2003.  

Ken’s wrestling accomplishments while at Waukesha South include a state team title in 1980, one state runner-up, and two 3rd place finishes. His teams have won 14 dual meet conference championships, 13 conference championships, 15 regional titles and 11 sectional titles. Ken has had 71 conference champions, 112 individual state qualifiers, 32 state place winners, and 10 state champions. Ken finished with 367 career dual meet wins.  

Ken was inducted into the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association in 1998.  

Today, Ken still lives in Waukesha with his wife Kay. They have three children and three grandchildren.
